Giant's Causeway Tours

Experience the Giant's Causeway Coastal Route - one of the world's greatest road journeys

A full day tour - approximately 8 hours

Tours to Ireland have to include the stunning Giant's Causeway Coast. To travel this route is to experience some of the most dramatic scenery in the world. A recent poll placed the Antrim Coastal route in 5th place in a list of the world's most spectacular views. Like many Tours in Ireland it is a journey of exploration where imagination meets reality and where every village and town, castle and rocky shore are waiting to be discovered. The Causeway Coast and Glens is recognised worldwide as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Recently many scenes for the HBO series 'Game of Thrones' have been filmed along this coast.

Our Giant's Causeway Tours begins at your BELFAST hotel (or wherever you are staying).

The coast road then brings us to LARNE, the gateway to the famous Ireland Tours, the nine GLENS OF ANTRIM. We travel further along the coast as the road hugs the narrow strip of coastline between the sea and the high cliffs.

Traveling on through GLENARM and its stunning castle and gardens, we arrive in CARNLOUGH where we stop for some refreshment, before visiting Cushendall with its four storey red sandstone Curfew tower, built to 'imprison idlers and rioters'.

Here is perhaps the highlight of Tours of Ireland where we travel along TORR HEAD (where coaches dare not go!) with its stunning views across towards Scotland.

We then arrive in BALLYCASTLE with its views across to RATHLIN ISLAND. Next stop is Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge - cross it if you dare!

The picturesque BALLINTOY HARBOUR is worth seeing and then where all Tours Ireland should go - the Giant's Causeway, a top tourist attraction and UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the impressive new Visitor centre only recently opened and full of interactive features, including a history of the area.

From here we visit PORTBALLINTRAE before moving on to the most picturesque and romantic castle in Ireland - DUNLUCE. Here you can really experience the amazing history of this beautiful attraction - great photo opportunity.

Our Tours to Ireland journey then continues along the coast before travelling back to your accommodation.

Mourne Mountains Tours & County Down Coast Tours

A full day Tour - approximately 8 hours

Our Mourne Mountains Tours & County Down Coast Tours are some of the top Tours in Ireland, which includes beautiful scenery and the grave of the patron Saint of Ireland Saint Patrick. The main attraction for many however, is the Mountains of Mourne which the Belfast born author CS LEWIS loved so much that he reportedly based his depiction of Narnia on the peaks, valleys and forests of these ancient granite mountains.

  • Your Tour to Ireland will begin in BELFAST (or where you are staying) and travel along the beautiful DOWN coast.
  • We arrive in DOWNPATRICK visiting DOWN CATHEDRAL
  • We then visit SAINT PATRICK'S GRAVE.

Our next destination is DUNDRUM for lunch and the beauty of MURLOUGH BAY before arriving in NEWCASTLE. Here any Tours of Ireland should include the view of the MOURNE MOUNTAINS, which is outstanding, immortalised by Percy French - 'Where the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea'.

Like many of our Ireland Tours we then include a journey along the beautiful coast through ANNALONG and into the fishing town of KILKEEL where we enjoy the stunning scenery with the mountains in the background. We travel along the beautiful coast road eventually arriving back at your accommodation after a wonderful day.

Armagh County Tours

Tour approximately 8 hours

Our Armagh County Tours in Ireland that touches on the song that begins with 'There's one fair County in Ireland' and on this tour you witness the beauty of Armagh County with its Cathedral City, Mall and stunning historical buildings.

You begin one of the historic Tours of Ireland leaving BELFAST (or wherever you are staying) and travel to Armagh City where we see the Mall and maybe take some time to watch a game of cricket in the summer. The City is known as the spiritual centre of Ireland and was founded by Saint Patrick.

We then go out to the Navan Centre and Fort, also known as Emain Macha the Royal seat of the Kings of Ulster and the Province's ancient capital in the Iron Age. This is an amazing experience thoroughly enjoyed by all age groups.

Ireland Tours always mention Saint Patrick. We visit Saint Patrick's Cathedral where Saint Patrick established his first stone church in 445 AD. Brian Bo'ru the last High King of Ireland is buried here.

After lunch we travel through Orchard Blossom country to THE ARGORY. Tours in Ireland should always include a visit to an old house. Here we see a beautiful National Trust property with its 315 acres of woodland bringing you very much back to the nineteenth century. Built in 1824 the neo - classical house has maintained much of its original contents and structure and is well worthy of a visit.

After an eventful day, we travel at your leisure, back to your accommodation.

Belfast City Tours

A short tour approximately 2 hours

No Tour to Ireland would be complete without a visit to Belfast City - A city of great historical importance and interest from more recent events, and the various murals, to where the TITANIC was built and launched over 100 years ago.

For Tours in Belfast City we will collect you from your accommodation and then travel along the FALLS ROAD with its murals and places of historical interest.

Then onto the SHANKILL ROAD where we see more murals and further places of historical interest.

The CRUMLIN ROAD jail and the Courthouse have many stories of trails and executions, with their unique place in the history of Northern Ireland.

Travelling in towards the City Centre we pass ST ANNES CATHEDRAL. An Ireland Tour should always include a visit to the TITANIC QUARTER where we see the sites connected to the famous liner.

We then travel along the lough shore and like all Tours in Ireland, take in the impressive sight of STORMONT the home of the Northern Ireland Assembly with its Parliament Buildings and its fascinating history.

Along the Newtownards Road we see further murals before moving across the City and past QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY, BOTANIC GARDENS and the ULSTER MUSEUM.

On Tours of Ireland we always take in the sights of the City centre and the CITY HALL before returning to your accommodation.

Leaving your accommodation your Tour to Ireland involves us travelling from Belfast (or wherever you are staying) through Counties Antrim, Armagh and Tyrone before arriving in Fermanagh famous for its stunning lakes and rivers.

Ireland Tours nearly always include a castle. And as we travel into Enniskillen we see the fifteenth century castle built to offer protection from the many raids through the centuries.

On your Tour to Ireland, travelling around the waterways, you can't fail to be enchanted by the charming villages dotted along vast stretches of water, mysterious islands rising out of quiet lakes and the stunningly beautiful and utterly unspoiled landscapes that seem to exist in a haze of tranquillity.

Tours Ireland will never be complete without experiencing the historic sights and natural beauty of Florence Court and the Marble Arch Caves with the outstanding limestone features, famous throughout the world.

When we arrive back in Enniskillen we board our cruiser to see the many attractions along Lough Erne not accessible by road. An added attraction is a short stop off at an island where you enjoy peace and tranquillity you can never experience in any city. This is a great experience as your thoughts travel back in time to what life was like many years ago for the people who lived there.

As with many Tours of Ireland, after the cruise, and with an appetite from all that lovely fresh air, we may visit a local restaurant for a meal and some refreshments. We then travel back to your accommodation.

Hillsborough Tours and County Down Tours

Tour approximately 8 hours

This is one of our Ireland Tours that begins in Belfast (or wherever you are staying) and travel to the historic village of Hillsborough. We start with a visit to the Courthouse, built in 1760, and now also includes the local Tourist Information Centre.

We also can see Hillsborough Castle and, if available, may be abe to have a Tour of the beautiful gardens.

Tours of Ireland are never complete without a visit to a fort and Hillsborough Fort was built in 1650 and is set in the beautiful surroundings of Hillsborough Forest.

Tours Ireland always attracts visitors to its many mountain ranges. Close to the Mourne Mountains is Slieve Croobe and we now travel, through beautiful countryside, to experience the breathtaking views from Slieve Croobe after a testing walk up to the summit (approximately 1 mile). Certainly not to be missed.

Travelling on to Banbridge we pay a visit to the famous FE Williams Gallery and Studio. As with many Tours in Ireland we like to take time to relax in the cafe and visit the outside areas.

By this stage we are ready for a relaxing drive back to Belfast with wonderful memories of our day, and probably like many Tours to Ireland, very tired!
